The oil used in all vehicles differs depending on the vehicle itself. The standard 2015 Toyota Rav4 Oil Type is a mineral or fully synthetic motor oil that meets specific Viscosity and Performance Requirements (API and ILSAC).
Toyota recommends using a high-quality oil that meets or exceeds the Toyota standard. Synthetic oil with an API classification of SG or higher is recommended for your vehicle. This type will offer better protection against engine wear compared to conventional oils and provide superior fuel economy as well.
Toyota recommends using engine oil “Toyota Genuine Motor Oil” of viscosity SAE 5W-20 or SAE 0W-20. However, SAE
0W-20 is the best choice for good fuel economy and good starting in cold weather.
The oil capacity with the filter is 4.6 quarts (4.4 liters), whereas, without filter, the capacity oil is 4.2 quarts (4.0 liters).
SPECIFICATION OF OIL
Toyota recommends using synthetic motor oil.
The manual states that using non -synthetic motor oil is not allowed, but there are many people who have used it with no problem. The difference between the two oils is in their weight and viscosity rating. Since you should use your vehicle’s recommended type of oil anyway, either one will work for this purpose when you change the engine oil on a Rav-four 2015 model.
